Travel has always been a part of my life. It started when I was a little girl—my dad worked for an airline (I won’t say which one, or I’ll give away my age!). At first, traveling was just fun —a chance to escape everyday life. But over time, I realized it was so much more. It became a way to reconnect with loved ones, experience new cultures, and create lifelong memories. That’s when travel became my true passion.
I found joy in planning trips for family and friends and loved hearing their excitement when they returned. The more I planned, the more I knew I had to take the next step — so I created Sheer Travel, LLC to help others experience the same joy I’ve found through exploring the world.
Today, my family and I travel as often as we can (even if our dog isn’t thrilled about it!). We’ve got some amazing adventures ahead, and I can’t wait.

People often ask why I became a Travel Advisor. Before this next chapter started, I was a Correctional Lieutenant, retiring in 2004. Even back then, I was the one planning ski trips to Sugarloaf Mountain for groups of 20–30 friends each year. I’ve always loved planning travel—skiing across the U.S. and even hitting the slopes in Italy, France, Switzerland, Austria, Andorra, and Canada with a ski group.
Alongside my love of travel, I had a career in real estate, eventually opening my own brokerage in 2013. I also have a passion for horses, which led me to Iceland for a six-day horseback trek moving a herd across the countryside—an unforgettable experience.
About eight years ago, I met Karen from Sheer Travel and asked her to help with a trip to Punta Cana. Not only did she nail it—she added an extra day and made the whole process so easy. I loved not having to handle every detail myself. It made me realize how valuable a good travel advisor really is.
But the planner in me never stopped. In 2024, I joined the Sheer Travel team and haven't looked back. Now I get to combine my love of travel with the joy of helping others create amazing memories. It’s the perfect fit, and I’m excited for what’s ahead.
